Christmas Programs

This past week, I was so fortune to witness Kennedy in not only one, but two different Christmas programs. Last Sunday, Kennedy's preschool had a little program in which her and the other preschool classes sang a few Christmas charoles. After which, we enjoyed refreshments and got to see Santa Claus. Paxton was a little to afraid for this meeting, so Kennedy flew solo. She has really been into the whole 'Santa thing' this year and it has been really fun to watch her try and figure it all out.
Later in the week, her class put on their own Living Nativity in their class' "Birthday Party for Jesus". It was so precious, and Kennedy was so excited about this program. She had been telling me about it for the last two weeks, and she has loved acting out the story of Christ's birth at home. Ken and I have really struggled with adding Santa into the mix at Christmas; we really wanted Kennedy to understand that God's love for us in sending of His Son was the true meaning of Christmas. And in her own little four year old way, she really does get it.

Here is little video of Kennedy's class. Paxton wandered up and I didn't want to stop filming Kennedy, so he joins the Nativity for the song at the end.

After the Nativity, Paxton got to join Kennedy's class for their party, and she was so excited to have be apart of it.

Princess and the Frog
This past Saturday, Kennedy had her first GNO (girls night out) well it was the afternoon, but you get the picture. A few friends and I took the girls out to see the Princess and the Frog. Kennedy had such a great time. My friend, Amy, made the girls the cutest little tiaras with a princess frog motif and their names. Kennedy kept saying all the way home, "Mom, Amy knows how to spell my name". It was a lot of fun, and the movie is really cute.

Ready to go to the movies.Kennedy and her friends in their tiaras.
