Skater Girl

I'm not quite sure where Kennedy picked up a fascination with skating, but she has been sliding all over the house in her socks. One day while making dinner, she came in the kitchen with a coloring book under each foot scooting across the floor telling me she was skating. So, I figured it was time for skates. Man, have they improved the "over the tennis shoe" skate. Ken informed me he did not have these; he had "real" skates. Am I the only one who had these? I remember the heavy metal adjustable skates that you couldn't even lift your foot in; with which we also did not wear a helmet or knee pads. Oh how did we ever survive childhood? :)

I think we had those kind of skates at one time. Or a friend did and I used them at their house. Either way... I've used them and know what you're talking about!

I remember those skates too. . . makes me feel a little old though! Your little ones are precious. I'm just catching up on your blog and love all the pics.
