Happy Birthday Jesus
A friend of mine shared with me how she has a birthday party for Jesus, every year around this time. She and her boys make a birthday cake and celebrate Christ birth. So, I decided it was a tradition we needed to start as well. Since we travel every year at Christmas, we decided we would have our Christmas and birthday party on Saturday. Kennedy had such a great time decorating her cake and singing "Happy Birthday". After which Ken read the story of Christ's birth from a toddler version of the Bible. Funny Story - I have been working on the Christmas story with Kennedy for some time now, and teaching her who everyone is. However, if you ask Kennedy who Baby Jesus mommy and daddy are she will tell you "Mary and Joyce". The funny thing about this is that Kennedy's Sunday school teachers are named Mary and Joyce. So anytime we have discussed Mary and Joseph it only seems natural to her that it should be Joyce and not Joseph. After the story we opened presents, unfortunately, I have no pictures of this event because I was busy videoing and Ken was busy keeping Kennedy from opening all of Paxton's gifts as well. We had a lot of fun and are looking forward to time with family this coming week.

While I was getting things ready to decorate the cake,
I had Kennedy sort the M&M's by color, note her mouth is full.

Here is Kennedy with her finished cake, she decorated all by herself.

Paxton playing with his new OU ball.

Kennedy wanted to wear a hat to bed like Paxton does, so she put on her snow cap.
