Ice, Ice, Baby
We have been struck by Ice Storm 2009. Ken has continued to go to work everyday this week braving the icy roads at a very slow pace. He has been our hero this week, especially when we lost power on Thursday. Fortunately, a few weeks ago he purchased a generator, so we were able to get a few things running when he got home. And unlike most of the area, we were only down for about 9 hours. Our neighbors parents haven't had power since Tuesday. I am ready for the ice to melt so we can get out and about. I'll take the cold, and even snow. Just not the ice. Kennedy loved playing in the snow and eating icicles. And of course what else do you do when your home bound, but make cookies. Here are some pics of all our ice fun!

One good thing about having young trees, we didn't have to worry about them breaking from the weight of the ice.

Ice storms are NOT good for my diet.
This has nothing to do with the ice storm, he just looks so cute in this hat.

so jealous of all the snow! would love to get to go play in it; instead, we are wearing shorts and are outside playing in the sun!
