Bass Pro Shop

While my nephew was here, we took an impromptu road trip to Springfield, MO to visit the Bass Pro Shop, or "Man's Mall" as Ken likes to call it. We will be returning later this summer to see all of the remodeling that was taking place while we were there. I have to admit, I was really impressed. I have been in Bass Pro Shops before, but this was the ultimate. They have these really neat events taking place for kids from now until July, so if you are near a pro shop it is worth the trip. There were several workshops for the kids to choose from and each workshop had a scavenger hunt and trivia activity as well as a hands on skill. Josiah attended the shooting workshop and then got to go to the range and shoot a Daisy Red Ryder and an Archery Bow. They got to paint a fishing lure, do some fishing pole casting, and had their pictures taken for the cover of "Field & Stream" magazine. It was really a lot of fun!

Wow! Bass Pro Shop is really cool. I've never been to one, but it looks like they have lots to offer for everyone. I love the pic of Kennedy holding her, "catch." Too cute!
