July Fourth Fun
We had a great time celebrating the 4th of July. Our neighborhood had a kiddie trike parade for all of the kids. The plan was to decorate trikes, scooter, etc and ride down the street throwing out candy. Well, after three vehicles, Kennedy decided on riding her cozy car. We decorated the car met at the clubhouse and headed down the street with all the kiddos. We made it a short distance and then came the rain. We all got soaked, but it was a fun time. We grilled out steaks for dinner, which Paxton LOVED. He only has one tooth in his head, but that didn't stop him from enjoying a rib eye (Ken was so proud). Our plan was to go see the city fireworks, but with Paxton going to bed so early we decided to stay home and do our own. The Van Leeuwens joined us for all the firework fun. The fun thing about this area, is that you can set off fireworks from July 1st through 4th ANYWHERE! No city limit restrictions here. So, our neighborhood was filled with all sorts of BIG fireworks to top it off our city did their local fireworks at the entrance of our subdivision, so we had a great view of those as well. It was a great day!
Kennedy ready for the parade.
Running for shelter from the rain.
Enjoying the fireworks.
They were literally going off ALL around us.
What a cute pair.
We woke Paxton up to celebrate. He didn't mind the noise at all.
Ken had several like this that would go off right over our driveway.
Ken finished off the night with a little racing action.
