Twas the week before Christmas...
The week before Christmas the kids received a great surprise. The kids and I had planned to drive home early and take advantage of the full two week break in Corpus, and Ken was flying down on Christmas Eve. Mom and Dad were not to thrilled with me driving alone, so Mom flew up to drive back with me and the kids. Dad called Kennedy and told her he was sending her a package that needed to be picked up at the Tulsa airport. Kennedy was so cute on the phone, she kept telling my Dad to keep the package at his house since she was coming to visit she would just get it while she was there. He finally convinced her of his plan and we headed to Tulsa to get our package. Mom never disappoints, and she came walking through the security exit wearing a big red bow and Christmas hat that was dancing and playing music. Funny story - prior to the passenger dismissal EMT rushed through the security exit with a gurney, since Mom had to stop in the restroom and put on her bow and hat she was the last passenger out. Needless to say, I was getting a little worried. At any rate, the kids were super surprised and very excited to have Nana riding back to Texas with them. Before heading home, we went to the mall to have lunch and let the kids burn off a little energy. FYI for my NWA friends the man who ran the carousel at the Promenade, now runs the one in Tulsa. If you tell him you were one of his Roger's customers he will give you a free ride after the purchase of the first ticket. We will be visiting him again next time we are in Tulsa.
Nana in her hat, she had taken the bow off already.
