Do You Know Alice?

Well, Paxton does. That would be Alice Walton, heiress to the Wal-mart fortune, daughter of Sam found of Wal-mart. Yeah, he's good friends with her and her dog, Friday. This past week Paxton's preschool class took a field trip to Compton Gardens. They had a nature walk, and took a picnic lunch along. They had a great time looking for bugs and even catching a few. But the highlight of the trip for me, was meeting Ms. Walton. While we were there, there was a photographer from a New York magazine doing a story on Alice Walton and her work with Crystal Bridges Museum, she asked if she could snap a few pictures of the kids with Ms. Walton - pretty cool! The photographer exchanged information with Paxton's teacher so she could get security releases if she uses any of the pics in the magazine. I thought it was pretty cool that Paxton was sitting next to the richest woman in the world. He thought it was pretty cool that she had a dog. One of the benefits of living in the hometown of Wal-mart.
