Memorial Day Weekend - OKC Zoo

After we finished up all of the Kindergarten festivities we headed to Oklahoma for a little fun.  We had not been to the OKC Zoo since Paxton was a year old, so we decided it was time for another visit.  The last time we were then, the Children's Zoo and the Elephant exhibit were both under construction, so we were excited to get to visit these two new exhibits.

On the way to the zoo, can you feel the excitement?

The zoo was filled with Peacocks.

Albino peacock, he was really cool with his tail open, but someone blocked my shot, so I don't have another picture of him.

Trying to stand like a Flamingo.

Sitting on a Flamingo nest.

Fun fact:  Flamingos get their coloring from the shrimp they eat.

Playing in the watering hole.

Petting zoo.

My favorite part was the Lorikeet Exhibit.

Kennedy (aka future vet) was in heaven.  She loved getting an upclose encounter with the birds.

Paxton said he was done as soon as it landed on his arm.

Out cold before we even pulled out of our parking spot.
