Next Stop Lubbock, Texas
We had a fun trip back to Lubbock recently.  It was our first time back in over 5 years.  We drove to Norman the first night and then got up early on Friday to make it by lunch time.  We went back for our friend Kyle's wedding.  We stopped at a rest stop around Crosbyton, and Kennedy asked if we were in the desert, so of course I had to take a picture of them next to the "desert".  We stayed at the hotel where we had a wedding reception over 12 years ago, and that was fun to show the kids.  We drove around and got to see a lot of our old stops, our old house looked so different it was kind of sad.  I got to have breakfast with a friend from college and that was sooooo much fun!  The kids were so fascinated with it all and they loved to hear our old stories.  Lubbock will always hold a special place in my heart - made so many sweet friends, found the love of my life, and birthplace of the spunkiest little seven year old I know.

Snapping some pics at the hotel.

The kids were fascinated by the cactus plants - we don't see those in our neck of the woods.

Kennedy was a nervous reck - she just knew her brother was going to fall in.

The venue for the wedding was beautiful - it was a chapel in Ransom Canyon.
