World Fest 2013
We headed over to Silver Dollar City one Saturday in April. The day started out a little wet and cold, so we figured the park wouldn't be to crowded and we would have our run of the place - think again! I guess everyone had the same idea. But despite the rain and the cold we had a lot of fun. World Fest was going on while we were there and that was really neat. We took in the show from Argentina and it was by far our favorite, we also saw the Island Fire show which represented Hawaii and Samoa which was not our favorite. Kennedy turned into quite the brave one while we were there. She rode several rides that she has been afraid of in the past and she had a lot of fun riding the big stuff with her Daddy.
This part of the park represented Italy. They had some neat characters on stilts that would interact with the people. Also, the ballerina on the grand piano moved down the street while someone played the piano.
This was by far our favorite show - they played drums, did some interesting tap type dances, and dances that included some interesting weapons.
Not sure how much longer we will be allowed to ride the little rides, but they sure do love them! I have pics of Kennedy on these little bugs and frogs when she was two.
Of course, no trip is complete without a ride on the teacups. Kennedy can ride these alone, which is great since she is the only one that likes them.
On the way home we stopped for dinner at a place called Danna's BBQ. Our neighbors had recommended a burger to me that I probably wouldn't have tried otherwise. It was called the Mime burger and it is the best burger I have ever had EVER!!! It had blue cheese and pickled jalapenos on it and man was it good!
