We had a low key Memorial Day weekend. We were planning on going out of town, but decided to stay home at the last minute. So, we decided to spend the day at Tanyard Creek Trail. The weather was beautiful and the trail is so shaded, that even on a hot day it's not that bad. We packed a picnic lunch and spend a few hours exploring.
The kids spend a lot of time splashing through the creek until we saw three diamond backs copperheads and then they were a little more cautious about splashing about.
We found a wild strawberry bush.
Caught a crawdad.
And...spent lots of time running around.
