SPRING BREAK '08

First of all, we have to wish Daddy "Happy Birthday". This week was Ken's birthday, but my computer has been down for a week so we have a lot to post. Ken turned 35 on Tuesday. It doesn't seem possible that we are getting that old. I didn't have trouble with 30, but 35 seems like a very mature age to me. Ken has had to work late every night this week so I made dinner in for his birthday, and Kennedy made him a special dessert. We are so blessed to have a Godly man that works hard to take care of his family and spend time with us even with such a demanding schedule. Kennedy is so fortunate have a daddy that tells her EVERYDAY that he loves her and he is proud of her. He has taken great responsibility to model to her the kind of man she needs to look for in her future mate. We love you Daddy! Happy Birthday!

On Wednesday, Nana and Aunt Lea's (or as Kennedy calls her LaLea) easter packages arrived. I did not get any pictures, because Kennedy tore into the packages before I could get to my camera. But Nana did send Kennedy a beautiful easter dress which Kennedy refers to as her "princess dress". Aunt Lea sent Kennedy confetti eggs. I guess this is a South Texas tradition, because Ken wasn't sure what to do with these colorful eggs.

On Friday, we headed to Tulsa to celebrate Easter with Ken's family. We spent Friday and Saturday in Tulsa. Gigi got the girls gardening tools for easter and they worked in Aunt Bonnie's yard watering the flowers. The weather was beautiful while we were there. The girls hunted eggs and had lots of fun just running around.

We headed home Saturday night in order to be at our home church for Easter. We had a great afternoon together after church. Lunch was a little quiet. Kennedy fell asleep in the car on the way home from church and we could not wake her for lunch, so Ken and I had a quiet lunch together. The weather was very cold we tried to go out and play with Kennedy's easter gift, but it was just too cold.

I don't know where they learn to twirl, but it came naturally to Kennedy as soon as she put on her "princess dress".
