Today He said "Yes"
How fitting that my last post was about prayer. On Monday night, our Bible study was titled, "God's Answers". I've always been taught God answers prayers it just may not be the answer we are seeking. On Thursday morning, Ken was headed to the Tulsa airport to fly to San Antonio for a meeting; we always pray for safety and protection before he leaves for a trip. It had poured down rain all night long and was still pouring when he left. Well, at 5:30am I receive a call from Ken that he had rolled his truck in Inola, Oklahoma. As soon as I got off the phone, I began asking God why we prayed for safety and protection and His answer was "No". Immediately, God reminded me that he indeed protected Ken, that things could have been much worse.
Fortunetly, Ken's sister lives in Tulsa, and her wonderful husband Eric headed out to meet Ken on the side of the road. This was a tremendous help as Ken was about 80 miles from home. I met them along the way and took Ken to the doctor. He walked away with only minor cuts and bruises. He had to get 7 stiches in his neck and 6 stiches in his arm.
On Saturday, we went to Inola to see the wreckage site and to get pictures of Ken's truck at the wreckage yard. We were very humbled by how much God's great hand of grace was upon Ken. Below are the pictures. We are so thankful that the answer to our prayers Thursday morning was "Yes". We are very grateful to have Ken in our lives; he is a great husband and wonderful father.
Below is the pothole, the state has since filled, that Ken hit. It was filled with rain when Ken hit it.

HOW GREAT IS OUR GOD!!!!!
