Triples

Today my little man is 3 months old, and in a little over a week my sweet girl will be a 3 year old. So, in honor of these two amazing events I would like to site 3 things about each that I absolutely love. I know I could come up with more, they are two of the greatest blessings in my life, but I will stick to three.

To be fair to the second born, Paxton gets to go first:

1. He is the happiest little baby I've ever known. There are so few times during the day that he is not smiling. He actually begins his day with a smile. He will wake with coos and giggles, and when you go to get him he is looking up smiling.

2. He loves the sound of his voice. He loves to hear himself coo and laugh and just make sounds. In fact, Sunday, we had to put him in the nursery at church because he has just gotten too loud for service and class. And he did great, he just decided if he was too loud for church, he would just chat with the ladies in the nursery.

3. Paxton LOVES his sister. He loves to hear her talk, sing, scream, laugh... You name it, he loves it. Anytime he is upset and I can't get to him right away, Kennedy will sing "Jesus Love Me" to him, and he will stop crying and listen to his sister sing. I hope his fascination with Kennedy will never go away.

Now for the more vocal member of our family, Kennedy:

1. I love to talk to Kennedy, we have the most interesting and unusual conversation these days. I love to hear her thoughts on various subjects and just how she thinks things work. We even discuss politics (we watch way too much Fox News at our house). Kennedy, however, is a big "Bama" supporter, I think she just likes to say his name. She does get very excited though whenever he is on TV "Bama, Bama, Mama, it's Bama". Ken and I don't have quite the same excitement.
2. I love her appreciation for others. Kennedy is truly one of the most outgoing, social, friendly little girls around. We cannot walk through a parking lot without Kennedy waving and saying "Hi" to everyone she passes. She befriends all of the kids in her class at church, whether they want a friend or not. I can see her being one of those girls in school who cares more about including others even if it's not the popular thing.

3. Kennedy LOVES her brother. No, I'm not cheating, it is a mutual relationship. She really does adore Paxton. He is the first person she goes looking for when she gets up. She loves to make him smile and laugh. She loves to touch him, rub his head, lay on him... Sometimes, she just loves him a little too much. I'm really looking forward to seeing their relationship evolve.

I'm so blessed to have the enormous responsibility of these two amazing little lives. So, happy 3 months and happy 3 years and I look forward to many many more months and years.
