Don't Run In The Hallways

I can't tell you how many times I said that phrase when I taught school. It has taken on new meaning. Sunday while visiting my parents (more on that trip later) Kennedy was run over by a little boy running in the hallway and fractured her leg. She tends to be a little on the dramatic side, so we weren't sure if she was really injured or not. Anyways, we headed to the minor emergency Sunday afternoon and they did xrays and went ahead and put her in a splint. Since we were away from home no one would do a cast, so we had to wait until we returned home. We were suppose to fly out on Tuesday, however late Monday night I became ill with a stomach bug. So, we were not able to return home until Wednesday. Fortunately, we were able to get in to the doctor on Wednesday after we landed and now Kennedy is sporting a pink thigh high cast. The splint that she got in the ER was not high enough so she has been in quite a bit of pain since Sunday. Since getting her cast this afternoon she has been a new child; it is a night and day difference.

Wow that is pink! I bet she loves it.(as much as anyone can love a cast.) Can she walk in it? I hope she heals fast and can get out of that thing. Keep us posted.

I had wondered what happened! Poor girl! Did the little boy even feel bad? Did his momma know? Wow.
