February????
Where, oh where, did February go? I have been so behind in blogging so I'm going to do a recap of February in ONE super LONG blog.
F - FUN, we have had a lot of fun this month, mainly playing indoors because it has felt like the tundra outside. Kennedy and Paxton play really well together, for the most part. Mainly, because Paxton is such an easy-going guy. Kennedy has never asked for a "little sister", maybe she doesn't know that's an option or it could be because of this... Paxton lets his sister dress him up in princess clothes, he happily plays Barbies, and he loves to play tea party. Of course, Kennedy enjoys playing with Paxton's tool bench, tossing the football, and playing basketball with her brother as well. They really are great friends, which makes me soooo happy!
E - Entertaining, Kennedy has recently started entertaining us with jokes. I'll share one with you. Kennedy: "Why did the ladybug cross the bridge?" Me: "Why?" Kennedy: "Because it's a joke!" (followed by extreme laughing). This seems to the be the punchline for every joke; we may need to invest in a joke book.
B - Boble', that would be Paxton's word for 'balloon', it is pronounced with an Italian accent. He gets very excited when he sees a balloon and then screams at the top of his lungs "Boble', Boble'". It cracks me up, because he truly sounds like he is speaking another language.
R - Rejoicing, Kennedy attended a princess birthday celebration for a friend this month. She LOVES all things princess and really enjoyed dressing up. She looked a little more "Fancy Nancy" ish than princess, but she had a blast!
U - Understated, I celebrated my 36th birthday this month as well. Ken and I got to go out on a date, which is a rarity around here. But we did have a little party at home with the kids, mainly because Kennedy wanted to know what kind of party I was having and who I was inviting... I picked out a little cake that Kennedy absolutely LOVED! Maybe, I should reconsider red and black icing in the future when it comes to kids.
A - A Fairy Tale Day, Kennedy had Fairy Tale Day at her preschool this month. She was so excited and wanted to dress up as a princess. I really wanted her to dress as something other than a princess, since we have done that so much. I had several great suggestions from friends, and we decided on the suggestion of Cinderella's Mice. Kennedy decided that was a good idea too and I was so glad she was not upset when we got to school and there was a sea of princess costumes. One of my favorite things, and sometimes my least favorite thing, about Kennedy is her individuality. We really haven't had to deal too much with conformity, which I like so far.
R - Ride'em Cowboy, Paxton has gotten really good at his animal sounds. One of his favorites is the horse. He loves to hop around the house riding his horses and making the 'neigh' sound.
Y - Yea for Spring, we are so ready for Spring Break and warmer weather. We will be meeting my family for a few days of fun on Lake LBJ. It will be a lot of fun!
