I Have No Greater Joy...
It is no secret that I think my sister and her family are simply amazing. They are just the kind of people that once you meet them you want to be around them even more. They are kind, genuine, caring, and totally grounded in their faith. Which comes as no surprise that they have done an awesome job at parenting Garrison, a job that they have never taken lightly. Garrison is an all around great kid, he is smart, athletic, and very sweet. A week ago, Sarah and Gary stood up before their church family and testified to the greatness of God regardless of their current circumstances. In their amazing testimony they shared a story of Garrison, that I have been sharing with everyone I have met this week. It is such a testament to the wonderful parents that Gary and Sarah are. The week following the passing of the girls, Gary and Sarah were reading emails and crying, when Garrison told them 'you don't have to be sad, remember Joseph in the Bible, all that bad stuff happened to him, and it all turned out good in the end and he was given a second chance.' Even as I type this it gives me chills. What a blessed child Garrison is, to be encouraging his parents with the Word at the age of 7 (almost 8). Sarah and Gary are so proud of the young man that he is and is becoming, and I know Garrison is proud to have been placed in the care of such awesome parents. 'I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth' 3 John 1:4. I pray that I too can make such an impact in the two little lives with which Ken and I have been entrusted.
Garrison, such a handsome young man.
