Memorial Service for the Girls

Thursday of this past week we gathered together as a family for a time of sharing, healing, and memorial. Gary and Sarah put together the most beautiful service for their girls and I was so privileged to be able to share in it. Thank you, Megan, for watching the kids, so I could participate fully. Gary and Sarah asked everyone to write a letter to the girls to be shared at the service and to be included in a baby book Sarah had put together. Every one's letter were so special and were filled with so many hopes and dreams that they had wanted to share with the girls. Gary led us in some very special songs, tender prayers, and then we watched a DVD that had been put together for the girls. It was such a special time, and I can say I left the room feeling closer to everyone in there. Though I was never able to meet my sweet nieces they have changed my life for the better, and I have the assurance that I will get to meet them again one day.
